*28 year old, male, project manager dates 28 year old, female, beauty worker*
How did you meet?
“A friend had a house party; he was known for having the best house parties, and this one was no different. This party was BIG, and there were a lot of people there!
I was drinking and having a good time when one girl caught my eye. She was really beautiful and had the perfect figure. She was exactly my type. I kept looking at her so she would notice that I was interested, and when she smiled at me, I used it as an opportunity to walk over to her and chat her up.
During the night, we flirted with one another, danced and drank. She was also super funny, and I love a girl that can make me laugh!
The flirting must have made us horny because we had ended up having sex in the bathroom. It was fun, and we just carried on partying afterwards.
It got to the early hours of the morning, and we were both super drunk (everybody was) I must have fallen asleep on the sofa because the next thing I was waking up in a living room full of bodies that had also ‘crashed out’.
The girl was nowhere to be seen, so she must have gone home, although I do not recall her going!
I was gutted, though, throughout the night, we didn’t even exchange numbers or get one another’s social media handles.
I have had my fair share of one-night stands, but I really wanted to see this girl again, so I asked my friend who threw the party if he had her details; he said he didn’t as he didn’t know her, but he knew one of the girls she came with so he said he would ask her friend.
The day after, my friend let me know that he had her number, and she wanted me to ring her. I did, and we spoke on the phone for an hour, laughing about the night-before antics. I asked what she was doing in the week and if she wanted to grab a drink with me, and she agreed.”
Where was your first date?
“She mentioned that she liked cocktails, so we went to a small cocktail bar near her.”
How did it go?
“It went well, although she was about 20 minutes late, but that wasn’t such a big deal for me, to be fair. She made an effort and looked nice; her make-up looked nice, and I remember thinking how much I fancied her.
We got on well, had no awkward moments, and had a lot in common. I did get a sense that she wasn’t looking for anything serious, even though she didn’t say that specifically.
We didn’t stay too long in the bar, she wanted to go back to her place. I obviously did not object, and on the way there, we stopped off at a Tesco Express and got a bottle of rum.
When back at hers, we drank and talked throughout the night, and I thought she was cool. It seemed like she had faced a few difficulties in her life with family, but it seemed like she had big dreams that she wanted to achieve, and I rated her motivation and drive
I ended up spending the night at hers and leaving in the morning.
When I left in the morning, I headed to the petrol station to fill up my tank on my way home. I was meant to do it the night before on my way to my date, but I had left out a bit late, and if I had stopped to fill up, it would have made me late for the date, and since I wanted to make a good impression I just took the money I was going to fill up with and put it in my glove compartment.
When I got to the petrol station, I filled up and went to my glove compartment to get the cash out. The money was nowhere to be seen, and I double-checked the compartment a good few times! I thought it was strange, and in that instant, it did cross my mind that she may have taken it, but I told myself not to jump to conclusions and sort myself out first.
I paid for my petrol (thank God for Apple Pay, or I would have been fucked!) and drove home. When I got home, I literally searched my car just to see if there was any way I’d misplaced it, even though I specifically remember putting it in the glove compartment when I left for my date.
I wondered how she could have possibly taken it, but then I remembered grabbing a bottle from the shops on the way to her house and how she stayed in the car when I went to go and buy it. There was £80 in the glove compartment, and I took out £20 to pay for the Rum, so she knew there was money in there.
The tramp must have stolen the money when I was in the shop!
I was PISSED, and a part of me wanted to confront her, but after telling a friend, he suggested that I didn’t give her the satisfaction as she would only deny it, so I took the ‘L’ and ended up blocking her number from my social media.”
Who paid the bill?
“I paid for the bill, I wouldn’t let a woman pay for dates, I think men should pay; however, knowing what I know now, I should have done a runner and left her to pay it!”
Did you see her again?
“Nah, never! And if I did run into her, I would have definitely given her a piece of my mind.
I was so pissed at the time, not to mention the running joke of all my friends for a while, but I do laugh about it now!
I did think about for a while, though, if she was an opportunist and just took the money because she saw an opportunity or if she planned to con me all along. I guess I will never know!
It also made me have trust issues for a while when dating women, I found it hard to tell if they were genuine or not so I had a guard up for a while.”
Rate the date:
“The woman is a thief, so it has to be a ZERO from me! She had me fooled, thinking she was a nice girl when she was nothing but a RAT!”
What dating advice would you give to others?
“Honestly, to all the men out there, do not be fooled by a pretty face and a nice body! Some of these women will have you thinking they got their shit together when they are not on SHIT!
Before women start coming for me, I know all women are not like this, and I have had some amazing dates with some amazing women, but obviously, this is one I will never forget!! – The night I got robbed LOL.”
