We’re always happy to see spring arrive. The days grow lighter, flowers begin to bloom, and winter starts to feel like a distant memory. As we pack away our winter wear and embrace pastels, warmer weather, and florals, many of us start thinking about travel. After all, with several bank holidays in the UK, it’s the perfect time for a getaway.

St Ives, tucked away in Cornwall, is a dreamy fishing town with cobbled streets and seven seriously stunning beaches. And yes, we mean stunning. It’s home to golden sand, clear turquoise water, and views that feel way more exotic than a UK getaway usually does.

For those craving a city break, York should absolutely be on your radar. This medieval city is home to one of the most impressive cathedrals in the world: York Minster, and while it’s compact city, it packs in plenty to suit every kind of traveller.

Located in Pembrokeshire, Wales, the beautiful town of Tenby is well worth adding to your spring staycation list. Known for its colourful buildings, which are seriously photogenic; Tenby is home to three stunning beaches where you can spend the day relaxing, building sandcastles, or swimming in clear turquoise water.

For those who prefer city breaks, Edinburgh is a no-brainer in spring. This city is pretty and the architecture is stunning, plus there is plenty to do.

For those craving fresh air, slower mornings, and breathtaking scenery, the Lake District is the ultimate spring staycation. The glassy lakes, rolling green hills, and peaceful villages are sure to take away any worries or stresses whilst you’re on a staycation.

This cute little seaside town in Kent is known for its colourful beach huts, pebble beach, Oysters and seafood; You will not want to leave this place without trying some fish and chips. Whitstable attracts a trendy crowd with it’s indie shops, independent art galleries and street art.
