I had A Soul Contract Reading & Was Blown Away: Here’s Why You Should Too!

Ever find yourself becoming somewhat, restless? Are you getting tired of the same mundane routines, questioning why we are here and what the true meaning of life is? Perhaps there are even certain negative patterns popping up in your life that you cannot seem to break, despite how hard you try! 

Maybe you have been wondering why some things come so easy for other people yet you have to work ten times harder to achieve the things you want.  

Some of you may even need guidance on which direction to take next or maybe you know where you want to go but are still trying to figure out how to get there! 

Soul contract readings aim to help you make your time here on earth, worthwhile and deeply meaningful. 

When we incarnated on earth, in our physical bodies, our souls had a plan, a direction that they wanted to go, for us to learn valuable lessons and elevate our souls so we could reach our true destiny. So I guess you could say, a soul contract is like a road map to our lives! 

I am in my mid-30s and would describe myself as being on a spiritual journey.

I began to question the meaning of my life, as I had gotten to the point where I wanted to move with intention, I didn’t want to do things for the sake of just doing them, I wanted my life to have a purpose and more importantly, I wanted to ensure I reached that purpose. 

Feeling stagnant and stuck with my current circumstances, I couldn’t quite put my finger on what may have been holding me back from moving forward. Turning to a search engine for enlightenment, I googled ‘Do we have a purpose on earth’ and came across soul contracts which led me to wanting to discover what lies in my own contract. 

Those on their spiritual journeys and/or those who just resonate with how I was feeling, may have been thinking about getting a soul contract reading, therefore I am more than happy to provide details of my experience for those that are wanting to learn a little more about it and before you part with your money! 

What is a soul contract?

It is believed that our life was planned before we incarnated on to earth, that we chose the experiences we are going to have and the lessons we needed to learn in order to grow. It is even said that we have ‘contracts’ with other souls in order for us to learn these lessons. For example, someone may come into our life to teach us patients, or some may come to hurt us, so we can learn more about ourselves through being hurt.

A soul contract is like a treasure map for your life. It details the experiences that we chose to have pre-birth, so we can foster physical and spiritual growth during our time on earth. If we choose to follow the path our soul intended we can live a meaningful and purposed-filled life and do what we really came here to do. 

Everybody’s contract is unique and we do not have to follow our soul’s destiny as we all have free will, however, our soul hopes that we do. 

How it works:

They say our name is not a coincidence and your soul contract readings work by translating your full name (the name given to you at birth which is on your birth certificate) into the equivalent Hebrew. 

Hebrew is a sacred language and each letter has a value (a number) and each number represents a frequency. 

The numbers are then put into a chart called the ‘Star of David’ with each triangle in the star presenting different sections of yourself.  These are karma, talents, goals and soul destiny.  

Physical Karma – Unresolved issues you will need to overcome in the physical world 

Physical talents – Talents strengths and abilities you possess in the physical world 

Physical goals – Your dreams and what you wish to achieve in the physical world 

Spiritual karma – Unresolved issues for you to overcome from your inner world (karma may be bought over from a previous lifetime(s) 

Spiritual talents – Talents strengths and abilities in your inner world 

Spiritual goals – What you live for in your inner world 

Soul destiny – What you came here to do, your life purpose and the meaning of your life

That downward triangle, in the Star of David, points to the earth and represents the physical side of your life. 

The upward triangle in the star points towards the universe and represents the spiritual side of your life. (Think of the physical being, external and the spiritual being, internal)

So, in essence, you have to work through your physical karma by using your physical talents in order to achieve your physical goals and you have to work through spiritual karma using your spiritual talents to meet your spiritual goals. This will lead to you achieving your soul destiny. 

The live reading:

Firstly, anybody can work out their soul blueprint and there are lots of books and free information online about how this can be done, however, it does require time, effort and dedication to interpret your findings, so, for those (like myself) who do not have the time or patients for this task, then it may be better for you to book a live reading.

As you can see in my chart above, each of the numbers placed in the chart has a meaning and these meanings differ depending on where they are placed in your chart. 

The practitioner reading your chart will go through these meanings with you. 

Live readings are conducted by professionals with expertise in interpreting soul contracts. This means you get to ask lots of questions if you are unsure of anything and you can also explore how your chart integrates into your life as it is, in the present and explore with your reader what you need to move forward and to reach your goals. 

My live reading was with a lovely lady called Emily who has 20 years of experience reading soul contracts. She was friendly and instantly made me feel at ease. This is important because it isn’t always easy to talk about the most vulnerable parts of yourself with others. 

The reading was via Zoom and was for 1 hour. The session was recorded so I could return to it as many times as I wanted and needed.

There is a lot of information to take in when you have a soul contract reading, so going back to your sessions multiple times will help you absorb all the new information you have learnt. You will also find that some things in your reading may not resonate with you until you listen to it at a later date! 

I had never had a soul contract reading before so I didn’t know what to expect, but in the reading, I was presented with my chart (the one shown above) and we spent the full hour going through the different aspects of it. 

Emily told me that I was at an interesting age, because up until the age of 35-40, most of us focus on the physical side of our lives, however, when we reach our mid 30’s we began to focus more on the spiritual side. After all, we get older and wiser and learn what’s truly important. 

With each aspect of the chart (kama, physical and spiritual) Emily advised me where I was currently at where I needed to get to and more importantly what I needed to do to get there. She wasn’t exactly specific with this, for example, you need to email a certain someone at a certain date to get this, because she is not a psychic, however, she was able to provide more general advice for example, she told me that I have great ideas but I needed to share them with like-minded people, and until I do things won’t move forward in the way I want them to. 

The live reading felt a little like a therapy session whereby I was encouraged and guided to apply karma and my talents to reach my goals. 

I can honestly say that things clicked into place in the session and I was amazed at how incredibly accurate it was. I felt like Emily was looking directly into my soul. Everything seemed to make perfect sense. 

I felt like Emily understood exactly who I was and where I wanted to go. We even discussed some negative personality traits, why I had them and how I should work on them. 

Is it cost effective?

I paid £130 for my reading, and after looking into various other services that offer soul contract readings I found that this price was pretty average! The most expensive one I came across was £200 and the cheapest was £80. 

I don’t think this is a bad price since they have to prepare your chart before you meet with them and when you meet with them (depending on who conducts your reading) the live sessions can last an hour to an hour and 30 minutes. 

I did come across some practitioners who were offering mini readings, for around £30-£40, which may be ideal for those on a budget, however, it is important to know that these readings won’t go into depth and if you are interested in having a full reading afterwards, then you may end up spending more money!

Things to be aware of before you book your soul contract reading:

• Do your research – Don’t just book with the first person you come across. Shop around, you may even save yourself some money as different people charge different prices. 

• Have an open mind – Not everything in your soul contract reading will make sense to you. You may have to listen to it a couple of times 

• They are not psychic readings! – Your soul contract will not tell you your future or your past and oftentimes the people reading them are not physics (unless you go to one who also has these abilities) and even if you do have a reader that is psychic, they are genuinely not designed to fortune tell.  

• Read reviews – You must read reviews. This way you can gauge whether the service they are offering is a good value for money. 

• Only go with a practitioner who offers to record the session. There’s a lot of information in your soul contract reading, therefore you want to ensure that you are able to go back and listen to your session as it it will be difficult to take everything in. You will forget parts and some things may not even resonate until you have listened to it a couple of times!  

• Pay securely – It is advisable to pay securely where you can easily be refunded if you experience any issues. Initially, I booked in with someone else, to find that they didn’t show up for the reading and when I queried why they never turned up, they informed me that they ‘thought they had told me they couldn’t make it’. I requested a refund and luckily, I had paid via credit card so I was sure I would get my money back in case she tried any funny business!! 

Why you should get a soul contract reading:

You can work through your karma:

Sometimes, certain patterns show up in our lives that we are not able to explain or break. They follow us around like a bad smell and no matter what we seem to do we cannot get away from these negative experiences and even explain them. 

If this sounds familiar, it may be your Karma. Emily explained that karma will be the challenge we face in this lifetime. 

Karma is often passed to us from a previous life, it’s a lesson we chose so our soul can learn the right lessons in this lifetime. Some people may have harder karmic lessons than others, some may have already worked through most of their karma without being aware. 

Emily informed me that it is our job to work through that karma in our current lifetime, so we can achieve our life’s purpose and doing so our life will get much easier and we will get more of what we want.  

In my reading I was told that my karma bought through from a previous life meant that I had to work extra hard in this life to achieve anything I wanted to achieve because in a past life I likely either abused the power that I had or had power and just didn’t use it at all.

This very much resonated with me, because I have always felt that I had to work that extra bit harder to meet all my goals no matter how small they were and what seemed to come so easily for my friends and family came with great difficulty for myself. 

I was told that another aspect of my karma was that I struggled to understand who I was by myself and that I needed relationships with others to ‘reflect back’ parts of myself. Emily and I discussed the fact that’s why I created intense relationships and that people could be put off my intensity, especially in romantic relationships and thus I struggled with long term relationships. 

Emily confirmed that most people ‘freak out’ when they hear the word ‘Karma’ as most of us deem it to be a punishment that blocks us from greatness for the rest of our lives and there is nothing we can do about it. However, she assured me that this couldn’t be further from the truth and that karma can be worked through. When we understand what our karma is and how it is manifesting in our lives, we can begin to work through it and it will be our greatest strength! 

Emily gave me some brilliant tips on how to work through my karma, one of which was developing a spiritual routine to show commitment, dedication and perseverance. This is a practice that I have stuck with since the reading and already, I feel so much better within myself and I am starting to feel very optimistic about my life again. 

You can identify any suppressed talents you have:

Emily informed me that we all have talents. These are both physical and spiritual. Sadly, some of our talents are suppressed simply because they may not have been nurtured or fostered. This could be because we had to suppress them during childhood because it wasn’t safe to use them or we just haven’t been in a position to activate them.  

One of the hidden talents that I discovered is that I have great business skills and would make an excellent business person. This was music to my ears, because for a while it had been a dream of mine to turn my blog into a business and having never worked for myself, it gave me the confidence that I could begin to use and sharpen my talents.  

When our talents are suppressed it makes it more difficult to work through our karma. 

I was informed that in order to work through your karma, the talents had to be a right fit or it could be very challenging. Luckily for me, I have grounding talents that can balance out my karma if I work at it. 

You can identify your goals and achieve them:

The ‘goals’ aspect of the chart represents the things that your soul would like to achieve. It’s what gives us drive and motivation and our vision for achieving our goals is often what gets us through the difficult times. When we achieve our goals, we will feel a great sense of achievement.  

Again, there is a physical and spiritual element to our goals. I discovered my physical goals was to complete a large-scale challenge, where I would likely take up a position of power but for me to do this, I needed people to help me do it. 

Going through the goals aspect o the chart, has given me even more motivation to achieve everything I have set out to achieve in my physical world, but also highlighted the importance of ensuring I meet my spiritual goals, for inner peace and fulfillment.
